I get off work for a year and a half because of my morbid obiesity disability ! I go back to work and I see people I no...I wave and say hi ...I get a blank stare back...they dont have a clue who the hell I am ! All of the sudden I tell them my name...they recognise the voice ...OMG ,they say...you dont even look like you anymore ! In my mind I think Im still the same ol me...but its mind boggling when people I no dont no me !! Jerry

I can understand why they do not recognize you becasue I would not the know you either from the before picture. You are doing a terrific job losing and it is a good feeling when no one recognizes you. Some say I look so different but I still see me as the way I always looked but people who have not seen me before surgery and now they say that they hardly do not recognize who I am, and that feels good to me. Congrads on the good job you are doing!!!!!!

| Congratulations on your weight loss. I had a friend who had RNY after I moved away from Atlanta. I Knew she was having the surgery, but still.. I went back to visit 13 months later and met up with a group of friends for lunch, at the Cheesecake Factory no less... and Becky walked in. I looked right past her, not recognizing her and I'd known her for years. She took it as a compliment that I didn't recognize her. She looks FANTASTIC!!!! She's one of the inspirations of doing what I'm doing. I can't wait for the day no one recognizes me. Keep up the AWESOME work!!!!! I bet it feels great going back to work.
