I had been losing weight, then it seems nothing is happening though others say it is. I hadnt lost anything for awhile, then the doc changed my diet and exercise regime and I started losing again but it feels like it has slowed to a crawl and im still fat. I hate this. Im 21 and I feel so damn alone, most of you have support, spouses, kids, but me-god i feel so alone and depressed man. Maybe wls was a waste

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hey there. You are not alone in being alone. I am a single mum and all my family and friends live at least 4hrs away. Its not easy, but being a part of this forum has been a huge help to me, sure, not in a physically here sense, but here all the same.
As others have advised me, stalls happen, you just have to trudge on and work through it.

Ask any question on here and also search through the forums.
Its not an easy life, but it IS worth it.

*HUGS*

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.

When was your surgery, and how much have you lost?
You don't have your stats up, so I'm sorry but we can't tell you much.
However, when the scale is stuck is when your clothes size goes down.
You see, your body will let go of the extra fat, then build up a healthy body, then lose some more fat, then firm up again...it's a continuous process, so, as far as the scales go, you will lose weight in humps and bumps, not in one smooth fell swoop.
You will lose relatively rapidly at first, but it will soon slow down to what is a healthy rate for your body, not go down at the rate you would like to see.
The expected losing curve is half of your excess weight in the first 6 months, one quarter in the next six months, and the last quarter from months 12-18-24. If your losing curve is somewhere along that line, you are doing fine.

Much of this is a mind game. The last person who sees the weight loss is you. The others are being honest in saying that you are losing well, and doing fine.
If you feel depressed, it may be that you are depressed in the medical sense as well, and could use some professional help there. This often happens, you aren't the only one.

So, give yourself plenty of chances, believe in yourself that you can do it, because everyone on here believes in you, and are sure that you can do this.

((((((((HUGS)))))))) May your journey go well.

Post your stats....let us know what you eat usually...and we'll do everything we can to help! It could just be a stall...which is SO frustrating, yet typical!

welcome!! you are never alone!! even though i have kids and such, i find my most support and inspiration right here, because noone quite understands what you are going thru than ppl who have been there. stalls and slowing down do happen and they do truly suck, noone likes it and it does get depressing, maybe u could post in the what are you eating and someone would have suggestions...also are u exercizing? this is key also, good luck and come here lots!!
