Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Well last night i had a follow up with the surgeon. Again to sort of figure out this numbness stuff. HE truly feels this is not a surgery related matter, with all i have been doing takeing the NASCOBAL (nasal b12 spray), Vit B complex, and two daily centrums....he feels its not a supplement matter. SO we will see what the neurologist feels when i see him on Aug 2. We also discussed my eating and how scared I am now that i can eat more and the scale wont budge. Of course he is fine with my current weight.... I am now instructed to use the WATER LOADING before meals: WHICH IS: About 15 minutes before your next meal, practice “water loading”, which is drinking as much water as possible as quickly as possible. Note that water loading will not have the desired effect if you haven’t been following the previous step of drinking water during the period between meals. So i hope this allows me to eat smaller portions. We will see. I so want more weight off but who knows. He also discussed with me that its normal to gain some back in the next two years...and then my weight will stabalize somewhere. BUT of course all i can say is how i want 10 more off.....I imagine he is thinking this is were my body is gonna stay...but i want the 10 more to end up here when i stabalize. SO i go back in 6 months but had to promise to keep in touch with him about the neurologist appointment. SO otherwise im doing fine!BLOODS really are perfect in all areas. SO that was my appointment.

| Super Moderator | Lisa, good to hear that your follow up appt went well. I do hope the neurologist will be able to get to the bottom of your numbness business. You're still only just ove one year out, so you should be able to lose some more pounds, but I guess that's something your body will decide for you. (((((((HUGS)))))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Lisa, it's great news that your blood levels are normal. Everytime I look at your before/after pictures I am so impressed. But, I know I'll probably be the same way, wanting to get to "my" goal. Sometimes a certain number gets stuck in our head and we aren't satisfied until it shows up on the scales. You look great, even if you don't lose that last 10 that's buggin' you.

| WLS Mentor | Friend, i'm glad your appointment went well. Hopefully the neurologist will get to the problem with the numbness. As for the weight, well you know how awesome i think you've done so far, and i just have to ask, do we all not know people who are at a good weight but they still stress over losing just another 5 or 10 lbs? Not that you can't, i'm sure you will, and i understand wanting to be lower so when you do do the gain and stablize you would be at the weight your at now. I think you look fabulous though, if that counts any. ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I'm praying for your appt....let me know, I'll be in NY then.... I'm sorry you are still dealing with the numbness....but glad that your Doc doesn't think its RNY connected. That must feel better...and sounds like all your other yearly tests are great!!! I know you are worried about the last 10...but girl, you look soooo fantastic - my inspiration. I keep thinking about seeing my TEXAS friends next year....I have two big events next year....my 20yr HS class reunion...and I just found out my best buddie Viv got engaged...as is gettin married about May-ish....that will be a little over a year post op for me.....I can't imagine what I will weigh. Let alone LOOK LIKE. If I look 1/2 as good as you....I will be thrilled! As I'm writing this to you Lis....I'm missing chatting with you on a regular basis. I have been sooo much in "limbo" for the last month and a half....I barely remember what it felt like to be in a normal routine. Have you been swimmin at all?? I saw the temperature today was 79....it was 103 here....I was wishin we were there already!! LOL. Well....I was kicked out of the cafe...and am sitting in my car in the parking lot.....I can still connect w/ the wireless connection. I've been without for sooooo long....I don't want to go home and go to bed!! But, the people inside must think I'm a LOON!! LOL......
