Default Grazing

Hi all,

I work 6 days a week. My only day off is Sunday and I usually just stay home clean & just do nothing, relax and watch everything I recorded during the week on my DVR. I noticed yesterday that I was having major food cravings. I was not even hungry, I still don't have the hunger sensation but I found myself looking for something to eat. I would say I was grazing every few hours for no apparent reason. I mean I did chose protein filled foods but still. It wasn't a lot since I still can't eat so much, maybe 6 small prezles, 1 small carton of fat free cottage cheese, string cheese stuff like that. I was bored, alone sitting there, my hubby wasn't home. I had already eaten a string cheese for breakfast and 2 oz of beef for lunch then I started the grazing frenzy.
I need to cut this in the bud before I get over my honeymoon period and then this will really effect my weight loss. Before WLS I never ate eat when I am stressed, sad, worried or unhappy. I overate when I was happy, bored or alone(I had major binging parties on weekends when my huddy was out on his gigs). I cannot afford a gym membership but I do own a treadmill but I have no motivation on using it on my day off since I do house chores I need help...any suggestions. Thanks!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Cut down the carbs, they trigger cravings. The pretzels weren't the best thing to eat, empty calories as my nut would say. But just to let you know, I am struggling with you. Head hunger sucks!!!

When I feel hungry, I tend to push the water...this seems to help...I know how it is...I grazed some this weekend...but I got up, moved around and got active...

Chalk it up to a down day....and know that today will be better...we all have these moments!!

That's a tough one. I can say don't stay in the house, don't put the TV on, but how do you say that to someone who has worked all week??? What, are you supposed to be "on" 24/7?? No. So my only answer is...you know you are doing it, that helps that you recognize it. Try to plan a little better, more liquids, sip on cup o soup...and the things you are eating don't sound bad at all, so use them as you are 're-learning' how to eat. We didn't have surgery on our brains, takes time to re-learn, re-program. If we expect to be perfect right out of the gate, we are really setting ourselves up. Be good to yourself. Be proud. You did a big thing here, that's the first step, every day is another

Another thing you can do when you get the munchies is drink water. Especially if you have eaten salty stuff, you may be confusing the thirst that comes from too much salt with *hunger*.

Thank you everyone. I will pay more attention to my body. When I am literally not hungry I will try to drown my head hunger with water.

Find Different Snacks Other Than Carbs Esp If You Think There Is A Day You Might Lose Control. Pickles And Strawberries Make Me Very Very Full And You Ccan Eat As Many As You Want. If You Want Somthing Sweet Eat A Banana, Eat Cheese, A Protein Bar, A Piece Of Chicken, Protein Chips If You Really Need A Carb, Etc.

Also Your Chores Are Excercise Hun. Cleaning Around The House Does Burn Calories So The More You Clean The More You Burn. Alsoafter You Clean Go Out Side If You Dont Want To Use The Treadmill And Take A Walk On A Nice Day.

It Happens To Everyone And The Magic With This Pouch Is You Can Restart Yourself The Next Day! So Dont Sweat It And Tomorrown Is Always A New Day

Doc ...

I am NEVER thirsty??? I have to MAKE myself drink! I HATE water so I drink iced tea w/Splenda or Crystal Light. But even then, I drink a little bit and if I force more in, I feel like I'm gonna throw up??? Any suggestions on how to get the water/liquids in?
