Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Shopping I have gone crazy shopping for clothes, shoes, bathing suits, jeans (oh my gosh I have already gone through three sizes and I can't seem to stop)! I started off trying to have the clothes I had (that I liked) altered. That cost me a bundle and then I kept getting thinner and didn't get to wear everything I had altered before they were too big again! (Geez I'm not complaining about it -- what a problem to have!!  )So anyway, I said no more altering because its too much and now I've been buying new clothes -- I'm not even going to speculate on how much I've spent! But I have NEVER been so happy!!  Then this weekend I went and bought a grandfather clock to celebrate losing 100 pounds. I have always wanted a grandfather clock. It is so beautiful. Its got nickel (versus bronze) and it sounds so beautiful. Its a great reminder of reaching the century mark! Anyway -- this is definitely a side effect of WLS -- shopping syndrome!  Unfortunately, I'm not as good as Kim at finding deals! I just put something on and if its cute and it fits, I buy it!  Pretty soon I'm going to have to refinance my home just to pay for this stuff!!  But I'm laughing all the way to the poor house! And I'll be well dressed when I get there!  |

I told my daughter that I was going to have to shop at Ross and TJ Maxx. She cringed. Heck, I cringe. It isn't the shopping...it is the waiting in line at checkout...very unorganized. But when I will only be wearing the clothes for <3 months, it doesn't seem right to pay full mall prices for clothing. Then again, there is always my beloved WalMart. I just like variety. Everybody wears Walmart clothes here.
