Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Close call Holy Crap!!! My family almost died this weekend. Our house was full of carbon monoxide and we all thought we just had the flu! Yesterday my 11 year old son got up and then fell back asleep about an hour later and slept for three hours, when we tried to wake him he was groggy and said that he didn't feel well. We have all had headaches for a couple of days so my hubby went to Home Depot and bought a Carbon Monoxide detector. We barely turned it on and it register to over 500 (which was the highest it went). Needless to say, we did not sleep at home last night. We can now go back home, we are having a new furnace, air conditioner and water heater installed on Thursday. (Hubby now paranoid, wants everything in basement replaced.) Until then we are going to be as little chilly! ER docs said we are lucky to be alive with levels that high in our house. So, not to preach, but please everyone go out and spend 50 bucks and get a detector for your house. As you know, you can not smell carbon monoxide and it may be too late before you recognize the symptoms. Someone was watching over us this weekend.............

| Wow- what a close call!! My sister had a detector and it went off when her baby was 5 months old--they were able to stay with us. I could have lost my niece if it hadn't been for that detector. I am so glad that all of your family was okay. Definitely heading to Home Depot soon to get one!! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  | Holy Crap is right!!! That is stupid scary! I am so happy to hear all have come out of this without serious injury. I heard of one incident where kids were sleeping in the back camper of dad's truck, but there was an exhaust leak in the truck. Poor guy came home only to find his kids had been killed from CM poisoning. Very sad. No matter how cold it is (which isn't for too long, being in SoCal) I always leave two windows cracked open on opposite sides of the house, for cross ventilation. Next time I am in a hardware store, I will be sure to pick up an alarm. Can never be too safe. Thanks for the wake up.
