Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass   |  I Finally Saw The Surgeon! I did not relax until I woke up this morning and realized my boss did NOT call me during the night to tell me I couldn't have this afternoon off (she had coverage issues) to meet the surgeon at 1PM. At Noon, I jumped in my car and drove back to the surgeon's office. Everyone there was as pleasant as punch. At exactly 1PM, I met with the nutritionist, who seemed quite impressed that I knew as much as I did, from the 6 month classes we are required to attend. After about 25 minutes, a person came and said Dr. Paya was WAITING FOR ME! He was a pleasant man. Young. Persian. Since I am a Baha'i (that is a religion born in Persia/Iran), I brought that up and OH! His wife is Baha'i and her family is a wonderful group of people and did I know many Persian Baha'is?? (Yeah...Hundreds was my answer. lol) Once we got done with the reunion ;-) he explained what he was going to do. Showed me a chart. Showed me where to look to see such surgeries on the internet (I didn't jot down the addy...sorry). I have made an appt to have the psych eval Monday AM. After that clearance, my medical group will submit for final approval and the scheduler said I could probably have it "the following" Tuesday, whenever that happens. 3 day liquid diet and to the OR!  I can't believe it. I may still get it by the end of April, which was my target when all this started Feb 07. whoa.
