Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  blood test report I got my blood test back today and everything is good except for I am a little low on magnesium and my colestral is still high at 260. So I am sure my doctor is going to prescripe colestral pills to me to lower my colestral. The nurse I talked to said that she is sure that it is inherited becasue with all the weight loss I am having it should be lower, so now she thinks it is inherited. My mom has lots of colestral problems and is on pills for many years to control the colestral. Well see once I talk to the doctor on my blood tests. My protein and calcium is excellent and everything else is in the normal levels. So I am pleased with my blood test results.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | The doctor who did the surgery made a deal with me being we are so far away, is to have a blood test done in 6 months aniversary and told me to go to my PA, becasue I go to her for most of my problems in medical and checkups. So she took the blood tests and send them to our nearby hosptol to their lab to do the tests and then they send the results to my doctor in Fargo who did the surgery. But I have to go in September when my one year anniversay is, to the doctor in Fargo that did my surgery. My PA was so surprised how much I lost and she said that I look so good now. She asked me all kinds of questions about my weight loss and was very supportive of me becasue she saw me struggle to loss weight for so many years and is so pleased with my progress.

| Super Moderator  | Congrats on the wonderful report. Yes, some of the co-morbidities do not completely disappear with the weight loss, if you have a genetic tendency towards the illnesses. However, you will need much less medication than if you still carried extra weight, and it will be much easier for the medication to be effective as well, so don't be too disappointed about this. You're doing very well, and will do fine in the future, too.
