Default Full length mirror

When I went to the rest room two different places yesterday and their was a full length mirror in it and I really took a long look at myself and was really surprised how thin I have gotten. It was a wow wow to me. I had my daughters outfit on and I looked so good in it. I was so proud of myself yesterday. So I mentioned to my husband that I need to get a full length mirror to see myself and he says we have mirrors that you can see half of yourself and that should be good enough and I told him I need to see me as a whole person in the mirror. I need to see me from head to toe. All I have ever seen was the fat me and I need to see the thinner me. Put it this way I am going to get a full length mirror no matter what he says. It could be in a week or two. They do not even cost that much the thin light mirrors are cheap and that is all I need to see myself from head to toe.
I was wondering what are your feelings of seeing yourself in a full length mirror. Is it something you need to see, just to realize how far you have come.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I'm not as far along as you yet Kitty, but I say YES, get a full length. It seems to me that we have a little trouble grasping that we are thinner, takes the minds eye a while to catch up with our changing bodies - I think really looking at yourself, as opposed to how we used to barely skim over our looks in a mirror before, I think that helps the brain really see how we are changing. Just like so many of us are realizing just how heavy we really were (because we would never really look at ourselves in a mirror and God forbid we kept any pictures) - I think it's the opposite now - we NEED to SEE what changes our bodies are making, not just read the scale. So go for it, because you do look great Kitty!

I agree I want to see myself in a full length mirror. I only have a small mirror on my makeup vanity and I only see from my chest up. I am constantly trying to catch a glimpse of myself when I pass a glass windows at stores. I told my husband that once we move I want to buy a full length mirror. I never ever owned one but now I am so looking forward to looking at myself in one.

I have to go to DD's room to use her dresser mirror which you can see mostly full length. They say that heavier people avoid mirrors and it seems to be true because I sure didnt have one that showed anymore than I had to see - LOL. Even the one in my bedroom on my dresser is so high it shows only chest up. I think this is a small splurge for yourself and you should have it, maybe explain to hubby that you need it help you manage your journey

I've always had a full length mirror, fat or thinner. I have a 8 foot closet in my bedroom and I installed a premium mirrored set of doors years ago. The original ones in the home were really crappy, so I spent about $325 about 3 years ago for a new set. Well worth the money, due to premium brushed aluminum frames, ball bearing rollers, thick mirror body that won't crack easily, etc. BTW, I've never had a fear of mirrors either. Big or small(er) you need to have a look at what you're wearing once in a while.

When I had all my weight on I hated looking in the mirror to see all that weight I had on and just looking at my hair was more than enough for me. All our mirrors will only show a person from waist up. And I was satisfied by that just for taking care of my hair. But when seeing pictures of myself, OH MY GOSH how I hated looking at them. All I saw was a discussed person with so much fat on me. How I hated what I did to myself and that is never ever going to happen again. I hope and pray to God that I can keep all that unhealthy weight off me. I cannot wait to get under 200 pounds and it is going to happen someday, hopefully by this fall sometime.
