Default Bariatric advantage iron pills- help

Someone posted chewable iron pills to help with constipation from bariatric advantage web site. My daughter ordered 18 mg chewable iron pills and has pretty good luck with it, she is not as constipated anymore . But her question is, their is also a 29 mg. She wants to know which one she should be taking. the 18 mg. or the 29mg.
I cannot remember who posted that article on chewable iron pills.
Thanks

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Kitty, I was told that you want to get 30mg of Ferrous Iron and they also have it available with Colace in it to help with the constipation. I take the Ferrous Iron from Walmart and add a Colace to it when I need it. Good luck with that, I remember how badly I was feeling in the beginning.

Kitty, that might have been me. I haven't ordered them yet but I was thinking about it. As far as what she should be taking I think Doc should answer that one. My Surgeon wants me to take 150mg a day and one of those babies blocks me up for a week even with stool softeners and the powdered laxative (the name escapes me right now). I was planning on getting the 30mg and taking them twice a day. But if your daughter hasn't had our surgery I don't think she needs that much iron.

My daughter had her surgery on Dec. 15 of 2006. She lost 102 pounds. She is pretty much at where her body wants her to be at. Shes been this weight for over a year now and she really looks beautiful and sooo slender. She wants to lose about 15 pounds but she is not pushing it and is eating the way she is suppose and her body is hanging on to every pound now. She bounces back and forth between 5 pounds now. If she puts on 5 pounds she get very strict with herself and in a week she gets the extra pounds off that she puts on. My daughter and I eat and count our carbs in a different way. She is much more strict than I am and I have a hard time following her diet plan. I stick to my diet and it is working for me and that is what I will keep on doing as long this is working for me and once I have trouble losing than I will have to look at what I am doing wrong, but for now I am doing great. My daughter is amazed at my weight loss. She eat way different protein bars than I do. She likes the cracker ones and mine have to taste more like a candy bar or crunch bar or I just cannot eat it. Now my daughter goes by the less carbs as possible. I ususally only can eat half of my bar one day and the other half the other day and than when you look at it, my carbs match up to her becasue I only eat half the bar. Sorry I am getting off the subject we were talking about. But when I get going I can talk forever about weight loss, I am just so excited. My daughter has lots of constipation problems and has asked the doctors and all they say is take stool softeners and she trys anything to help her along. Now that we have to take iron pills she runs into trouble again and needed to know what mg. to take. Thanks ladies for the imformation. My daughter thinks this place is great but she cannot get on here becasue she is so busy with work and her children and husband. So when we talk I fill her in about all you people here and she enjoys hearing about all of the people on here. So when something comes up she asks me to ask questions on here for her.
Thank you ladies!!!
