Default I had a car accident

Last week I left my house to go to the grocery store. I got around the corner and began to feel funny. Next thing I knew, I woke up and had been involved in a accident. My car traveled down the road (Harford road to be exact) a 1/2 mile before I rear ended an SUV, mind you the entire time I was passed out at the wheel completely unconcious. The accident did not even bring me too, even when the airbag inflated. The man I hit said I was out for over 3 min after the accident. Mind you I have had fainting spells since I was 11 yrs old and no one could tell me why i have fainted in the past. The last time i passed out was over a year ago, but how scary. Now my car is wrecked with over $5,000.00 worth of damage, didn't cause much damage at all to the SUV I hit. This time i passed out was so different from other times, I had no time to act, AT ALL! So now I'm terrified to drive, what if next time i'm not so lucky??? I could have very easily gone head on into traffic and hurt someone else including me! I walked away from the accident with a bruised shoulder and a banged up car. BUT, I walked away!!!!! I am planning on going to see my doctor. I've just been so busy, trying to get my house together to sell it, and move to TN. Take care all.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

RobinM, (((((((HUGS)))))))
Thank goodness your injury was minimum, and the damage to the other party was small, too. You must be feeling very bad over this, ((((((((HUGS))))))))
When you see your dr, ask him/her to set up and appt with a neurologist for one. Another thing that could cause a fainting spell post op is a hypoglycemia episode, a sudden drop in the blood glucose level. Something else that can cause fainiting is a certain type of irregular heart beat. In anycase, I hope you'll be able to get to the bottom of this, but you may need extensive examination, as it sometimes may take several tests to detremin what is going on.
Take care, hugs again.

Robin

OMG I have had some light headed feelings but it never went that far.
I am just glad that no one was hurt. How scary to have this happen.

It would be good if you have you check up ASAP.....it would scare me to death.

Good luck to you,

ROBBIN

Gee RobinM, that must have been scary. Don't stop until you are satisfied with the answers the doctors have given you.

What a scary thing to happen. i am glad you only suffered a bruised shoulder, it could have been alot worse. Sorry about the damage to the car but things can be replaced, you can't be. Definitely get checked out asap and don't stop till they find the problem.

personally i have to be very careful about when i drive due to my narcolepsy. if i am the least bit groggy i will not go out because of the possibility of seizures. Don't have them too often anymore and have always known enough in advance of having one to be able to sit down, go lie down whatever. sometimes if i know i will be driving i will take a nap before i go to give me that extra power nap boost.

OMG Robin...I am so glad to hear that you are okay. That is a shocking thing to have happen to you. I am going to call my neurologist refferral today and get the ball rolling on my end. I am hoping that the clinic will call me today and give me the test results to all the blood work they did last week regarding my dizzy spells and numbness in hands and feet.
I hope that all is well and that you find out the root of your problems.

Oh dear Robin, Thank God that you're doing well now.
I'm really sorry that you have these black out symptoms they do really sound scary and you shouldn't ignore it. This time God gave you a new life, God forbids you don't know what might happen.

You take good care of yourself. The car comes and goes but your life is so precious!

Thank you all for your well wishes. I'll be getting to the drs. here soon. With my move and hubby working all day it's hard to get around like i used to. I'm used to being able to come and go whenever i please. It's gonna take some getting used to but if i ever want to drive again i'll have to fight my hubby for it cause he never wants me behind the wheel again,EVER! Besides my life is too important, my family needs me. Take care all. Oh by the way I have managed to get down to 142 pounds, so i have lost 123 pounds since last Aug. 2005, and i have lost 238 pounds since my heaviest. My hubby says don't loose anymore, unfortunetly i'm thinking i may be slightly underweight. You can count every single one of my ribs and see every vertibre in my spine.. But i'm trying to eat enough. Some days are better than others. I just don't have a big appetite anymore. Take care all. HUGS!
