Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I think Propel has some sugar content, and crystal lite would be less. Most surgeons want 48-64 oz of fluid per day. This can be water crystal lite, tea, coffee--but plain water, water with a slice of lemon or crystal lite is best. Make sure you get protein shakes or bullets to supplement your protein too. That's really important at this time.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Left side tenderness is normal according to my doc. I am 3 months out and when I get up quick out of bed I still feel a pull on that side- a little pain, but not bad. You aren't being a baby at all! As far as fluids I still struggle with that! My doc wants us to get 64oz a day. I can't stand water most the time so I drink crystal light, propel, and sugar free koolaide. Keep working on the fluids- and I am sure the pain will slowly lessen!! You are doing great!

| I went back to water aerobics this week and I thought I was feeling better..lol I found out that when we did the ab work that I also have some left side pain yet. But my instructor is the best and she kept coming over saying to me if it hurts go back to this or this.. We did side crunches and well I could only do a few of those so I went back to a different ab move. So I think you are normal hun..Remember they did cut those mussels..

| Super Moderator | With fluids, have you tried different temps? Some does best with cold, others with room temp, still others warm. Experiement, and see what agrees best with you. Also, with different kinds of liquids, different temps may work.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I do crystal lught , SF kool aid and my nectar. I used to have to have it at room temp, but lately I could stand it cold and now I only want it cold! It's amazing how we change. I say take some tylenol or maybe 1/2 a dose of pain meds if it gets real bad. My pain went away fairly quickly, but I had a lap. Still, when I had pain, I took something. I'm not that brave!!!! No reason to live with pain. Or if you know you're going to be doing stuff that might aggravate it, take some tylenol before hand. You can get 250 mg or 500mg tylenol, so won't exactly be over doing the pain meds, just taking the edge off once in a while.
