Cool Grazing

ok I know they want us to get in at least 3 meals but would like us to fit in or 6 small meals in a day....i get in my 2 meals theywant me to add fruit and i cant seem to do it unless between meals...is that considered grazing cause i really dont wanna graze..i can fit in veggies with my meals but i can get in the fruit for some reason i cant bring myself to it....and i would sure love some watermelon..

I had to do 6 smaller meals a day at first. Oh Watermelon is my fave, but my surgeon has it on the no-no list.

I don't think that is considered grazing. Grazing is when you continously eat on small things or really just about anything as well as your main meals. If you eat your main meals and fruit in between, that is considered a snack.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh thank god i was affraid i was about to graze....my nut said i can have watermelon and any melon as long as i wasnt eating seeds....no seeds for me i just want the water melons sweet juice....thank you ladies you are most helpful now that i know what grazing is that took alot of my shoulders right there.....***hugs***

watch your fruit intake, as most of it is FULL of fructose (natural fruit sugar)....it can make you dump....go slow at first when introducing new foods!!!

No honey I wouldnt consider that grazing either. My surgeon had me on 6 small meals to. Your new tummy wont let you graze right now anyways. Think of it as your snack because that is pretty much what it is. Yes Kathy is right becareful with the fruits and take it slow at first. I dont think watermelon is as bad as some of the other fruits in the sugar dept but im not sure. I know last summer it was a big treat in here to alot of people being able to eat it because of the water content. I have not tried it yet but soon hope to when they get a bit riper in the stores.

watermelon sounds soooo good!! i agree with the rest it would not be grazing! my surgeon says only 3 meals a day...no snacks, although some days i do snack some...i have totally fallen in love with fresh pineapple!!

i plan on going reallllly sloooooow with the fruit just the water melon for now an dif that goes good maybe graduate to some thing else...im treating my pouch as if i were a new baby you start them one food at a time for a certain period then move on to the next...im scared of dumping to i dont want to experince it yet maybe when pouch is healed LOL im sticking to the things i see on here and what nut says is ok other then that its nothing else...

My Nut told me that usually its hard to get in six meals and to try three and be sure to get in my protein shakes. And now that I can take the whey better I love my nectar. I usually get in two and a snack I also worry sometimes about grazing but I have times I am just feeling starving but two crackers gets rid of that. Its the timing of drinking and eating that gets me sometimes. I sleep in late during the morning and then have to stay up late to get in my liquids. Sorry spent 13 years on second shift and ever after ten years I cant sleep before about one am..

Lady lisa i have noticed that you an i go threw alot of the same problems about the same time i can say im glad im not alone literally but then again we are both early out....i try so hard to get in all my fluid and the past couple days i actaully managed it 48oz but i can say i dont enjoy waking up in the middle of the night to tinkle...and i figured if i eat my lovely snack of water melon that will to help out with extra fluid..
