Default Good news...sort of!

So yesterday was my appointment for my 3 month check up. Hubby was off so he came with. My appointmnet was early, so after we ran some errands we stopped for lunch. He asked where I wanted to go, I said I would love (!) to try a burger. So we stopped at Fudruckers. I got the smallest burger on the menu, put lettus and tomato on it (thinking this was extra moisture) got rid of the top bun, moved the burger way over to the edge on the bottom bun so I wouldn't be bitting just bun...it was just ok. Why is it that things are not tasting as good as I remember them??? Did I build up all these memories in my head? Anyway, I had a few bites and all was going well, but I must have had the last bit or two too fast or something, cause boom, stuck! Not terrible stuck, not foamies stuck, just uncomfortable stuck. For an hour I felt it there. I hadn't really eaten alot, maybe 4 -5 bites, so I think I just ate the last two bites too fast. For the rest of the day, even hours later, anytime I tried to eat anything I immediatly felt over full - so I didn't eat much yesterday....good news...I finally lost a pound (@#&%!) Kara, I WANT MY HAPPY DANCE!!!

Side note: saw Kim (Antbunni) briefly at the Dr.'s office yesterday (her 3 month check up too!) - you gotta see how her scrubs are loose and hanging off of her! WTG Kim!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Denise,

Happens to me too, think you can finish that last bite, but in essence it's too much, we just have to learn to stop and push it away. I'm guilty too.

Ya know, tastebuds change, they do. I have totally been addicted to ahi tuna since surgery, had it the other night, ate one bite and about gagged. I've had alot of occurrences like that,.

That "last-bite-itus" can be a problem. If you feel pretty full, stop. That last bite can lead to foamies, throwing up if you ate too fast, or a upset pouch for hours. Beef is a problem for many patients. I had an episode with beef 2 weeks ago. Ground beef or a real tender cut, like filet mignon or prime rib is normally tolerated better than steak. But beef for some people gives them a heavy feeling all of the time. Any time I have a "hankerin" for beef, I just get the cheap 89 cent single cheeseburger at Mc Donalds. It satisfies the taste, and is small enough it doesn't upset my pouch.

Isn't it weird how foods don't taste as good? Or is it they never tasted that great and we just inhaled them anyway!?

OK now for the real business at hand. (I am not kidding I DO NOT dance) but I am getting up for real and doing a jig JUST FOR YOU! 50 pounds!!!!!!!!! 50 pounds!!!!!!!!! That is HUGE, and you are NOT! Way to go Denise, you broke the stall wall, maybe you started a trend for the rest of us!

Brooke joined in too and we are dancing the "I lost weight dance" it is similar to the "I went potty dance" but what can I say, we aren't that creative!!

Now just wait for the 100 pound dance, I may hurt myself! Seriously that is an incredible milestone, I hope you really enjoy your success and allow yourself to feel very proud of what you have done!

Denise I have had that happen too, even lastnight I ate my south beach wrap only had one of those tiny things took a bite of the second wrap and had to spit it out cuz I immediately knew it was 1 bite too much. Sometimes even only 4-5 bites will fill us up. WTG on the 3 months man time is flying by
