Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Okay, some of the diagrams in textbooks and various article show that they are still connected, only stapled off, while others show them cut off (I just checked.) Now, even if they are cut off, they essentialy stay in the same place because they are cradled within the abdominal membranes and *fixed* in place, though somewhat loosely.
Now, with DS and sleeve gastrectomy, the sectioned off stomach is completely removed.

Thanks, everybody. The pain is a bit more bearable today so my mood is much better. Its amazing how constant pain can drag you into the dumps.

Doc - thanks for taking the time to answer in detail. That all makes so much sense. I can't wait until Monday and hopefully something definitive. This is no fun at all.

Here's a quick update. My scope is actually scheduled for this Friday. The doctor suspects that I have an ulcer but the scope will confirm for sure. The meds that I am on are working well. I have little to no pain when I take them as I should. According to the doctor the fact that the medication is working is a good sign. It may be that I have to take the meds long term in order to give this thing time to heal.
