I tried the Online Support Group Meeting on Club 2 Be from bariatriceating.com, very disappointing. It seems to be more of a focus around their products. Nothing is ever discussed outside of what they carry. Protein discussions are around their products, vitamin discussions are around "their" vitamins. Did anyone else check it out? I am so happy I joined here. I get the most impartial information and love how open everyone is about EVERYTHING. Love you all!!

This site is very supportive. If you look in your local area, I'm pretty sure you can find local support groups where people attend a meeting once a month. This gives you a chance to meet local WLS patients, and you can share experiences, ask questions, share recipes, make new friends, etc. I find these groups to be very beneficial to my continued success with WLS.

Actually another support group is why I DIDN'T have the lap band. I found a lap band support group and NO ONE was positive. It was all about the problems they were having. I never posted, but after one night was sick of reading how everyone was starving and how many people had to have it removed.

I need support every single morning, before my day starts, I can always find it here! Besides we live so far from town, the only place there is a support group that meets, and it is only once a month and I have a fear of elevators and heights and it is on the second floor of the building!

But Once A Month I Do Attend A Support Group Not To Far From Where I Live With Friendly2 (lisa) And Nygal (francesca) And I Have To Say I Love Going!!! Its Like Girls Nite Out When I Attend. We All Talk About Certain Topics, We Have Show And Tell. Someone Will Bring In A Food Label To Somthing They Might Of Tried And Liked, We Get A Free Magazine And Free Samples On Some Months. I Really Enjoy It!!!
I Really Do Encourage You Guys To Try Some Live Support Groups In Your Area, You Can Make So Many Friends And Its A Nite Out!!! I Would Of Never Found Out About Achie One If It Werent For This Group. They Were Giving Out Free Bottles One Nite. And Well The Rest Is History!!!! Love That Drink
