Just the other day I used the bathroom at a resturant and I just out of some many years of habit went into the handicapped stall, I sat on the throne and thought "What am I doing in here?? I can fit into the regular stalls now!! Hope there isnt a person out there waiting who reallly needs this stall!" I still panic when they seat us at a booth, but I fit in them now. I still feel really out of place not shopping in the plus sizes but going to the normal size area, I still feel very paranoid that other women are snickering at me for looking at normal sized clothes. These are all things that I will eventually get over though, I just lived the obese life for SO LONG that it will take some getting used to!

As I approach surgery, I keep telling myself it will still be ME in MY SKIN, and I will definitely need help (either via y'all or a trained professional) from having too many koo-koo moments. It will be really strange to be a thin person in a body I have had for the last 22 years or so. Hub said 60 minutes is scheduled to show a segment on WLS and the "unknown" benefits. I will look for the link and post it elsewhere.
