Height:   |  Oh Brother Okay so something fun happened the other morning and now that I am caught up a bit I can share it...hehehe. I was on yahoo the other morning and my big brother Trent started to im me from work to catch up a bit on how I am doing. We were talking when all of a sudden he asked me if the picture he was seeing in the corner was me and I giggled and said yep. He was here in Philidelphia right before my surgery and he didn't recognize my face....!!!!!! My own brother!!!! How awesome is that? I love my brother dearly and it was awesome to have him notice such a change. It really made my day and that was when I decided to get off my arse and take new pics resulting in my new avatar now. Just wait until he sees the newest one...hehehe. Janae  |

| WLS Mentor  |  that speaks volumes about how succesful you have been/are. i'm sort of hoping that kind of thing happens for me, but more so my birth family. i haven't told them about the surgery, in fact i haven't talked to or seen them for about 4 years now so next summer i am planning on going to Cornwall (where they live) and going to the restaurant that my birth mother works in and order and see if she recognizes me or not. i love the new avitar, you do look like your saying something sassy.

Height: | Thanks... I was feeling pretty sassy when I took the pic...kinda playful. Right now my hubby is bugging me about the whole not choosing to show his family a new pic with me in it, but I am determined. He already made me back down and tell them about the surgery before it happened, and my Irish streak is yelling....NO....they can wait until next summer when we see them in person and I can see the look of oh sh$# on their faces. Am I so unreasonable to demand this?.... I am not with holding pics of their grandkids or their son...this is just something that keeps me fueled and motivated and I don't wanna cave in. He will just have to deal with it in the meantime. Janae |

You are the one who has went through all of this and it is up to you call the shots when you want to let them see how you look now. I would think it would be so much more fun to see the look on everyone's faces when they see you in the flesh, than to not be there when they look at your pictures. Hold your ground!
