Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | First day of the rest of my life! My dear friend wannabe, ME TOO!!! My surgery is also scheduled for May 6th, and I started my pre-op diet today. I finished my old life yesterday and today am starting my new life. I am excited and a bit nervous. The surgery doesn't scare me but learning to relive my life does. I was once very athletic and thin....and wild and crazy and when I stopped doing all the things that made me wild and thin, I gained and gained and gained. I developed osteoarthritis in both knees and it progressed very rapidly and deteriorated my knees to the point I could barely walk. I had both knees completely replaced last summer with high hopes that I would also regain ambition and desire to exercise. NOT HAPPENING! I would love to stay in touch and support each other.
