Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  How much at 3 months post op? Okay, today is my 3 month post-op and I am down 47lbs. (post op) I think I should be down more from the numbers I've seen from others on here. I know I am not getting in the amount of food that I should at this point but it is so hard. I had my daughter take a couple of pictures so I could post them but they do not look anything different then last months. Grrrrrrr So, what was your total loss at 3 months post op???

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | And, let's do the math: You are suposed to lose 1/2 of your weight in the first 6 months. 1/4 of your weight in the second six months. The last 1/4 of your weight over the 2nd. year. When you started you were 309 but you lost 43 before surgery = 266. You're goal weight is 140. So 266 (weight at surgery) - 140 (goal weight) = 126 (weight you want to lose since surgery). So if you lose 1/2 of your weight (1/2 of 126) in the first 6 months, that would be 62.5 pounds. You are only 3 months out so half of 62.5 = 31 pounds. You are already 47 pounds down from surgery - you are 16 pounds ahead! Not even counting what you lost before surgery. Way cool!
