Are most people's starting weights in their profiles the weight they were at the time they had surgery or the weight they were at the beginning of their whole journey before the pre-op weight loss. Mine is my weight on the morning of surgery and when I look at people with surgery dates around mine I seemed to have lost alot less.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It's both, there is no way to tell. Some people lost some before and some didn't. I didn't - that's my weight the morning of surgery. But others did lose prior - but you can't tell by looking at the stats. Some do actually have a post in their signiture - like Kiwileelee - she actually has a little post by her signature of what she weighed the morning of surgery. But not eveyone does that - so don't think OMG they've lost that much since surgery??!!

And listen, when is the last time you lost 28lbs so fast? Honey im just now down to what you weighed before your surgery. Mine come off fast because I was so big. That right there has alot to do with it. I had to start off needing to lose 198lbs so you cant compare somone like me to yourself. Your right on track trust us. In addition I had complications right after my inital surgery. And by no means were they fun. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My heaviest was 384, two years ago and when I did my profile I posted the weight I was 3 months before surgery and that was at the time the doctor wanted me to lose as much as possible before surgery, that is my beginning weight of 373 pounds. My doctor send me to a weight loss doctor who helped me lose 36 pounds before surgery. That was so hard to lose that weight on my own and I followed their plan to the tee becasue I wanted this surgery so bad. I also posted how much I lost before surgery and then I added the rest to my weight loss even after surgery. So this way a person can figure out how much I lost after surgery. So I actually lost 93 pounds since surgery. But I had to loss the weight for a safer surgery so it is a weight loss that I earned all together. I have a post on here about that and I was told that I earned those pounds and to keep my post that way so that is why you see my post the way it is.
