Default Trying harder starting tomorrow...

I have been very bad and have not tried very hard to get all my protein in since my surgery. I bought a ton of stuff pre-op and hate all of it now that I have had surgery. Well, I think my body may now be suffering the consequences from not getting enough protein. I have had swelling in my feet and ankles for about 3 weeks now. I used to get mild swelling during my TOM pre-op but it would go away after a few days. Well, this time it is not going away and I would not consider it mild. I decided to look up online what causes swelling/edema. Wouldn't you know??? It says being low on protein can cause your body to retain water. I am almost certain that is the problem since I had so much pre-op testing and everything turned out fine for the other causes of swelling.

Starting tomorrow....I am going to make a promise to get in ALL my protein. I am going to make that my new focus!!!

Summer is nearing....sandels and swollen feet don't work. I MUST GET IN PROTEIN!!!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Yes, most of the protein supplements are terrible - you have to keep trying and find something you like. It's not easy. What have you tried so far? (Before we all start listing stuff )

Have you checked some of the home made protein drinks and smoothies in the Recipe forum? Like Shelley's home made protein shake and earthygirl's protein coffee/frappecino? I believe a lot of post ops found these two work better than product protein shakes and stuff, so give them a try.

I swear by the nectar protein. It tastes like juice and it's especially good when you mix it with crystal light. Not all the flavors are great, but the ones that are are exceptionally good!
It's tough finding a protein you like and can stomach. It sucks too because they're so expensive. Hopefully you'll find one for you to help you!
