Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  My husband threw me for a loop this morning. This morning while we were getting ready to go to Bismarck. I told my husband that I think I might get to my 130 pound lost this weekend if not 131. He looked at me and said first I gained weight and just kept going up and up and now tht I have the surgery that I am going down and down and before you know it there will be nothing left of you, and that I was going to die from being to skinny. I have no idea where that came from and really threw me for a loop. I told him that I am far from being skinny that I have a ways to go yet and that is why I have blood tests so often to make sure I am getting all in that I am suppose to and that my blood tests will show me if there is something wrong. I told him that our daughter Sahlenia, had it done to and that she is more or less at a stand still and she is happy where she is, but would like about 18 more pounds off and she said it looks like her body wants to stay where it is at becasue she is not losing anything for quit awhile now. I told him that I feel the best now than I have in so many years and I know he is very proud of me for what I have accomplished so far. He knows my goal is to get down to about 160 pounds. So I know I need to get to about 180 pounds and the rest of it is skin which I want off once I am at around 180 pounds. But why does he think that I am going to die if I get to skinny, I mean first he was so worried that I was soo heavy with lots of health problems and now he is worried that I am going to shrink down to nothing and blow away. I try to reassure him that I am healthy and I feel great and he enjoys it now that I can do things with him now which I could not before. Like I said that comment threw me for a loop!!!!

No wonder he's bewildered right at the moment. I'm sure he'll settle soon enough. In the meanwhile, tell him the Doc on board said, "Don't worry , your wife won't die from being too skinny, rather, you'll have a wonderful new and young wife for the price of one, and you ain't done no cheatin' about it, either."

My hubby hasnt said anything like this to me yet Kitty. Im not sure he would unless I do get to little but you need to know that me and Mike have only been together 6 years versus your lifetime with your hubby. Hes probally seeing you like he never has before. He will adjust. They truly ride this rollercoaster with us without us realizing it somtimes. Good luck with this one. |
