Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Wow! A size 20 is a great place...really. There are more 18/20s available in the stores! Congratulations.

I read it is considered a real plateau after 4 weeks. Frustrating either way, I know. My plateaus in traditional dieting happened about 260. That is why, for me, "diets don't work". Anyway...

Up the water, like Dawn said. Watch the carbs. I have pee'd out 7 lbs by upping water and dropping the carbs for 4 days. (pre-surgery) Take a couple nice long walks.

Your body has no choice but to lose, when your doctor's eating plan is followed.

I am more concerned over when you said, "...I go to the doctors in like six weeks and need to be down twenty more pounds..." In a worst-case scenario, what would happen if you only got down by 16 pounds? or 12, even after following the eating plan to the letter? I don't know at what rate you were losing before your "plateau" but you would have to lose over 3 lbs/week to achieve that 20 lbs. I think that is unreasonable at this point. At the rate of losing 1% body weight/week, you "should" be losing under 3 lbs/week. Your body is not expected to lose 5-10 lbs a week any longer.

My two cents...your mileage may vary.

Increase your protein too....with the water....protein first, veggies 2nd...and eliminate the carbs....pick up the pace on exercise and stick to plan...YOU WILL GET THERE!!!! (do you HAVE to be down 20 more before the doctor visit, and if so, why?)

Congratulations on your wonderful weight loss.
Wonderful job!!!
Like judijo said, why 20lbs in 6 weeks? Did your surgeon set a time schedule for you? I believe most surgeons do not. Or, is it your own schedule that you set up for yourself? In that case, your body will lose at the pace it needs to, not as your brain wants to.

So, now, let's do a little math. First off, you are just under 5 months out of surgery. In that time, you have lost 111lbs, need to lose 89 more for a total or 200 lbs.
Now, the standard losing curve is about half of your excess weight (expected lbs to go away) in the first 6 months. Then, of the next quarter over the next 6 months. The last quarter past your first year to your second year.
So, this means, 100lbs in the first 6 months, another 50 at one year out, and the last 50 over the next 6-12 months.
You are not yet 6 months out, and have already lost 111 lbs, which means you are waaaaay ahead of the standard curve. Your body needs to take a breather right now, and adjust to all the weight loss, before going on to the next stage. You'll get to your goal, do not worry.

Thanks again...the reason I say twenty in 6 weeks is that I am a big numbers person and so when I was at my last visit she said I needed to weigh this much to remain on track and now I am paniced but you are right my body needs to rest too...thanks for the advice.

Doc posted about losing 1/2 of your expected weight loss in the first 6 monts and the 1/4 in the second 6 and the last quarter over the 2nd year....it went something like that. That is what she considered to be on track. For you 1/2 would be 100lbs lost in 6 months and 50lbs in the second 6 months the 50 in second year. You have already passed the 100lb mark and you still have 1 month to go until your 6 month point. Sounds like you are ahead of the game!! Keep up the good work...up the water and this will pass!!
