Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | OUCH!! i remember them well... when i was getting them my dr did bloodwork and found i needed potassium. i didnt need to take additional supps at the time. a 1/2 a banana a day corrected it for me. you should speak with your dr. it COULD be something else. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Consuming lots of water leaches the potassium out of your muscles....causing them to cramp! Because I consume about a gallon a day, I picked up an over-the-counter supplement and now I take 2 potassium tablets each day...try that...it should help! Or, as Kenya stated, bananas are loaded in potassium....that will help too! |

| Super Moderator | The first thing that comes to mind is low potassium and electrolyte imbalance. How was your lab work. Another is restless leg syndrome. I think someone had that. If you have a bad back, that sometimes translates to leg cramps and pains, too. Ask your dr in any case, but these are the things I usually look for in the first round. ((((((HUGS))))) I hope you'll be fine.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have not had any leg cramps in a long time but I have always heard to eat banannas. ( I don't even know how to spell that!) I have a question about lab work. Can they tell every levels of every vitamins we take? My nutritionist is really pushing fish oil Omega-3 and I wonder if they see that in the blood work? QT, it is funny because you look so familiar to me but I don't know anyone from Minnesota!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Bananas always help....but I tend to avoid them as they make me even MORE gassy and can constipate me some.....hence, the potassium supplements! |
