This board is specifically for peer support for weight loss and for weight loss surgery. If you wish to discuss political subjects online, please do so at other boards set up for such discussions, not here. While we are certain and trust that our members are very well mannered so as to keep political discussions on a polite and friendly level, it is quite often the case that political discussions can very suddenly heat up and become explosive. Having political subjects on board open to discussion may also invite people who have nothing to contribute to weight loss support, but rather, join the board motivated with the desire only to stir things up, and wreak havoc. Many boards out in cyberspace have seen this happen with the end result that the board itself desintigrates. (We are already dealing daily with enough spammers behind the scenes as is .) We as administrators of this board do not wish to see this happen on this board, as too many people come to this place for support during this rewarding yet difficult journey.
