Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Home Hi gang, Made it through surgery with no problems and am home now. The whole experience was actually great. Surgery Thursday, swallow test Friday morning they immediately took out Foley and I was off the pain pump too. IV came out later in the afternoon and then the worst was the drain tube. YUCK! That was a weird feeling. But all in all considering it was major surgery...It was perfect. The nurses were absolutely awesome. The only thing I can complain about is that I feel gassy. But I was able to finally pass gas once the drain tube came out. I'm sure it will get better with time. Apparently there was a heat wave here in the bay area 100+ since Thurs. Luckly I was nicely tucked away in an air conditioned hospital.  Well I am going to take a nap, didn't really get much sleep in the hospital with someone always coming in taking vitals, poking or prodding or giving me something to take. Thanks everyone for this fab site...it really helped prepare me for what was to come. Take care, Malia
