It has been one week now since my surgery. I am still in quite a lot of pain. Extremely tired also. I am not hungry but my body says it needs nutritients, etc. How do we cope with this? I am now entering the baby food stage.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Terry I know for tthe 1st few weeks I felt so tired and run down, it does pass. May I suggest though not to do babyfood but to puree your own food. Its much better tasting and has les sodium and more nutrients....Like puree shrimp with a tbsp lite mayo and garlic powder or salt and old bay seasonig and a dash of lemon juice...yummo and full of protein, also puree you own veggies and such, much cheaper and better tasting. Hang in there it gets better and WELCOME HOME

Thanks for the advice. The only baby food I have tried is the fruit. It is not bad. Otherwise, I have had creamed soups, crystal light, no sugar carnation instant breakfast, sugarfree popsicles. Does this sound ok so far? Do you have any suggestions on what else I can eat? I am really starting to come up with questions now on eating.

Terri you sound like you are doing great, yor choices seem spot on, also try pureed tuna with tbsp lite mayo and some onion salt, powder whichever you prefer, I am trying to think back to all I ate at your stage..Lettme do some looking and I'll get you some more ideas...meanwhile I am sure others will have suggestions too...Barrowed from recipe from Thinner Times - Gastric bypass, Lap Band, and other weight loss surgery

Ricotta Fluff

1 - 15 oz. container part skim Ricotta cheese
1 - 3 oz. pkg. SF Cheesecake flavor instant pudding
Dollop or two of Fage yogurt (to taste)
A little bit of skim milk to lighten it up (about a cup-add last and gradually)

Mix it all up and enjoy however you want it. I love it with strawberries! It's a great fruit dip or just eating straight out of the bowl. Optional: you could also use sour cream instead of the Fage yogurt, but the Fage yogurt has lower calories and fat, and much higher protein.

You are doing good. At the pureed stage I did alot of chicken pureed with some cream of mushroom soup, if you don't like mushroom, use cream of chicken. It gives it a very moist consistance. I had also pureed a pork chop as well did it the same as the chicken, SF Jello, squash if you like that, I hope this will help you out.
