I hope none of you were caught in the blackouts that seem to be plaguing parts of the US.

Hi girls life has been crazy, my husband decided he wants to build a house and in a whirlwind we put the house on the market and have been showing it everyday a few times a day since. THank God my inlaws have been here since my mom left cause they have been able to take the boys to the pool everyday and have helped me out so much. My right side has been hurting so much still ( I think my surgeon is left handed cause where most of you had left side pain mine is the right) and I have not been taking pain meds and have not ventured in to the tylenol relm yet. I also seemed to have picked up a cold a long the way! YUCK but I am hoping that next week will be a little more normal with school starting and then we will not have company anymore for the first time in 4 weeks. As much as it has been so helpful I am looking forward to life with our family again. Sorry I have been mia and am hoping to be able to sit up here and post more often.

seriously though, sorry i haven't been around much this week. Computer has been refusing to let me in to this site every now and then, it's getting more frequent and i thought it was this site, but then it started doing it with other sites too. May have to take the computer in to the computer store to have it looked at.
Also, i did get the truck back, and it finally passed the e-test.

We actually got it back on Thursday morning because the mechanic wanted us to cycle the car 4 times. Go for a long trip let it cool, go for another long trip ect. So on Thursday i was mostly on the roads.

Oh speaking of turtles when we were cruising the back roads around here on Thursday you'll never guess what we saw. TURTLE CROSSING SIGNS!!

i thought it was so funny

i mean i've seen deer crossing, even skunk crossing, but turtle crossing? Guess i'm not the only one to have had turtle problems.

So we finally have our vehicle and we will be getting its permanment plates next Friday. I may not be around much in the next couple of weeks. Between flying down the highways and going to the cottage and helping my mom with her social tea that's she's putting on and trying to get enough sleep, i'll be pretty busy.

cabbie, i am sorry you are still in pain, hope it gets better soon.

Hope all is well with all of you, i'm going to the cottage this morning, so i only have time to read and make a few more posts, will be back on Sunday around 7 pm

I miss you terrribly!!! I am actually finally having some relief today. I am glad that it is that you are out and about! Enjoy yourself it is much healthier (although we miss you) for you to be out and about rather than sitting at the computer. Plus you will have more time once the weather gets colder and when you have your surgery if it is where you can sit comfortably!! Glad to hear you are doing well!!!

Hey there! Thanks for asking about me. I was away for a week, and while I brought my laptop with me, I did not have time to use it.

I was in Mass. and NH, visiting family and friends. I had a great time. I shopped, swam, and really just had fun talking and laughing. I spent a few days with my college room mate, and we had a ball.

Now I am back, and getting things done around the house. My DH ripped up the carpet from the stairs, and we are having the wood refinished on Tuesday. Then, the carpet in the basement Family room will be replaced as it was ruined in a flood from a backed up drain.

My daughter leaves for Ireland on the 14th, and is in a play at Church next weekend before she leaves. This is her first trip overseas by herself, then she will come back with her grandma early in Sept. So, I have a lot to do to get everyone ready. I am back to work for two weeks starting the 14th, too.

I am trying to catch up reading the boards, but I don't know where the time goes. I hope to be chatting with all of you soon. S

Cabbie, sorry to hear you are still in pain, I hope it gets better day by day. You sure sound like you've been busy even while you're recovering. I hope you'll get a chance to slow down some.

you're gonna have to avoid those turtle crossing at all costs,

SHH, you sound like you've had a blast, it must have been refreshing. May your daughter have a safe and good trip. Don't wear yourself out trying to make everything perfect for everyone else, take the time out for yourself when you need to.
