Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I posted elsewhere in one of willa's posts, but I'll post here as well.
My prayers for willa. I hope the surgery goes well, without replacement being needed.

Thanks all for the prayers. They are greatly appreciated. My surgery went well and surgeon says I'll be able to put off complete replacement for possibly 5 to 10 years. YIPEE!!!

I didn't have any trouble with the surgery itself, but had a delayed allergic reaction to the antibiotic that evening. I ended up in the ER because of Clindemon. I had taken it a few times before with no side effects but this time I got into a real jam.
Hives, swollen glands, and throat closing up. But I believe because I was being lifted up in prayer by my friends and loved ones I am still among the living.

I'm supposed to use the crutches till 2/17 but I have virtually no pain and feel like such a fake when I do. I feel as if I could walk a couple miles with no trouble already. But since I promised my hubby to do what the doctor says I'm using the _____crutches:P .

Thanks again for the prayers.

Willa, welcome back!!
I am so glad to hear your knee surgery went well. Yes, oblige your DH and follow your doc's orders, and stay on your crutches even if it's yuck. Craig'll tell you, when he had his knee surgery and didn't follow doc's orders, he paid for it major!
Your allergic reaction was a bad experience, but thank goodness you came out fine. You may find that you react violently to some medication that you didn't have trouble with prior to WLS, because of the major change in your absorption due to WLS. Please be careful and be on guard of any medication that has the potential of becoming an allergen(cause of allergic reaction). This last goes for everyone with WLS.
Cheers for your better health!!

Yep I was pretty stupid when I got home after knee surgery. They loaded my incision with a bunch of local pain meds. So it felt good enough to walk on as soon as I got home.

next morning.... OW OW OW OW......

I'm following orders. Believe me I don't want to ruin what the doc has done for me. He says I should be back to walking by the 17th after he takes out the stitches and checks my movement status. I can hardly wait to get back to my daily walks. Maybe I can shed these last 40 lbs. I've been at a stand still for 2 1/2 months and I'm gettin' tired of it. lol
