Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Back from GYN I am actually kinda excited! I just got back from my GYN, I was having some issues with TOM. I was having one every other week. Not good. So I went and saw the gyn. He is so awesome, he is going to do an endometrial abaltion in 2 weeks. I can't wait. It is where they go in and cauterize your uterus. That means I will no longer have TOM and if I do, it will only be for a day or two. He was also very proud of me, the last time I saw him I weighed 315lbs. He didn't know I had the surgery done until today. He was very amazed. He told me he had aways been against the surgery but now that it is being done laproscopically that there aren't as many side effects as with the open and now he is going to start recommending it to some of his patients. We talked about the surgery for quite a while. I am glad I was knowledgable enough to give him good information. Hopefully more of his patients will be able to take advantage of such a wonderful "TOOL"! alright I am going on and on....so back to work now for me! Shelley

| Super Moderator  | Shelley, your gyn appt sounds like it was a wonderful visit all around. You sure have a great gyn, a dr who's willing to learn from his/her patients is precious. I know my patients (and all of you) are wonderful people and great to talk to, because, even if we already have the medical facts, we don't know all of the what they mean to the people for whom things are on the personal level. (((((HUGS))))) and I think this counts as a WOW moment in a way.
