| Needing Help
Can someone help me find or either remind me what the plan is called that helps you get back on track? Isn't it either a 5 day or a 10 day plan? I am just wanting something that tells me what to eat and that helps me get refocused!!!
Thanks for any help!!!

Shannon, let's PLEASE help each other refocus. I can't possibly be through losing weight. I have more than I want to lose before I will be satisfied. We can do this together.

Ok...well if it is to early for a pouch test....lets go back to basics. Water, water, water and protein, protein, protein! I am going to get back to working out too. I am going to start TODAY with 40 mins on the treadmill (5 min warm up 30 min workout 5 min cool down). We start TODAY!!! Neither of us are done. This tool still works and we have weight to lose so lets get moving!!! I have had 20oz of water and 3 oz of chicken so far today. I am going to eat another 3 oz of chicken and about 1/4-1/2 cup of green beans for lunch BUT...I am going to drink another 20oz of water before I do that!! For dinner 3oz of meat and some more veggies!!! I have been very bad and started drinking diet soda again. I was complaining to my husband about my 3 week stall and he said...do you think you should stop drinking diet coke? He's right. I was a diet coke addict before WLS and it is probably brining back old habits. For a treat I will have iced tea....no diet soda from this day on!!

definately just get back to the basic rules, 60 grams protein 64 or more oz water and try and limit your carbs to no more then 100 a day, if you can swing it around 30 is good but no more then 100. Once you do this you'll start losing again. remember protein 1st everything else second, and if possible exercise

The thread is in the Graduates Forum--because it is for graduates, in other words, those who are over a year out and at goal and losing control.
The first to second year, while you are still in the rapid losing stage, stick to the basics of eating-- at least 60g protein, 64oz water. Eat protein first, veggies second, then carbs if you have room left.
Stay away from the bad carbs, get carbs in in the good carb form--whole grain products, not refined products.
Stay away from processed food and fast foods. Cook your own from scratch.
The first two years post op if the period for you to get used to the pouch, to learn to utilize your tool fully, and to set up healthy eating habits. It is not a time to depend on *diet plans* or programs. That will throw you back into the *so and so diet* mentality and spiral, which isn't a good thing, that is one of the things that brought you to the place where surgery became the best choice, no? I don't think any of you really want to go back there.
So, as hard as it is, always go back to the very basics if and when you feel yourself slipping.
Keep in mind, your surgeon will not be able to guarantee your success unless you follow his plan to a T, and you dot all your i's and cross all your t's.
Keep your selves accontable in the What did you eat today threads.
((((((HUGS))))))

Shannon, I am determined too that we are going to do this. I am going to start in the morning with having a protein shake for breakfast, and then for lunch, I am going to have 3 oz. of chicken with 1/2 c. boiled cabbage and chicken and some type of veggie for dinner. I have got to also do better with getting in all of my water and getting to the gym more often.
PLEASE help me get through this. I am almost getting depressed with it because I haven't been doing all that well.
