| It's over and I'm only filled with regrets.
I am in SO much pain. I had to be at the hospital at 6am yesterday for my clinical trial surgery. Surgery began at 10am and ended at 11:30am. I then spent 11 1/2 hours in the recovery room because they didn't havea bed available fo me which only raised my anxiety further. I'm in soooooo much pain right now. They have me on liquid oxycodone which is beyond disgusting. Apparently the other two clinical research girls before me didn't have nearly as bad of a physical pain so maybe I'm just a wimp ... but at this point I only have regrests for having done this surgery. I really hope this turns around soon. I knew it'd be an uphill battle but this pain is unbearable and the surgeon doesn't want to change me to another medication.
Sorry, I'm just venting.

I am sorry you are feeling so poorly. Hang in there, it can only get better. Once your home, in your own bed, you'll feel better. Every day the pain should lessen a little and before you know it the numbers on the scale will start going down and your mood will continue to go up!

I'm so sorry you are in pain - I know you had a different procedure - just not sure what it was - I hope it turns around soon. I was one who had a lot of pain after surgery too - some people just have less of a threshold and I never had any surgery before so I couldn't compare. Have you ever had any surgerys before? Hang in there.

Honey hang in there, I know I had buyers remorse too but in the end I am glad I did it. Keep taking your meds and take it easy, everyones pain threshold is different so dont beat yourself up, each day will get better

(((((HUGS)))))) Hang in there.
To tell the truth, the first 3-4 days will probably be the toughest, but once you are over that hill, things should improve greatly.
Congratulations on joining the Losers' Bench, the new you will start emerging as soon as you get over this rough patch.

I was in a lot pain too. My friend said I would have none because she had none. They had me on a moriphin drip that I could push every 10 minutes (or so dont remember exactly amount of time) and I pushed it 14 times in a row before I felt a bit better. I feel your pain. I dont think I felt good until like the 6th day. Tomorrow is only 10 so you can see I am not an expert. I was really tired also. Good luck especially if they did that gas thing with your stomach.

Take it from someone who has had 6 major surgeries, as soon as you can start to get up and walk, baby steps. Of cource with your doctors permission. I felt as though that really helped. Sorry you feel so much pain.

Well you DID just have MAJOR surgery so there is pain. Everyone certainly has different tolerance levels and responses to pain medications. It's too soon to be saying you ONLY have regrets so far..goodness!
In a month it'll all be different!
