Well, sisters...after 6 weeks of healing, I am going back to work today. I have my break and lunch and snacks in my lunchbag and my waterbottle at the ready. My orthotics are in my shoes and I am good to go. A week ago I wasn't sure if I could do this! Don't know if nerves are to blame, but the stool softeners seem to have kicked in this morning too. LOL See ya laters!

Good luck on your first day back. I'd recommend you take an "emergency" kit with you, although you may be at work when I post this. My wife had gastric bypass surgery many years ago, and had severe diarrhea problems. These problems are not as bad with RNY of today, but still some patients have bouts of diarrhea. I'd recommend a change of underclothes, a moist wash cloth or container of baby wipes, spray deoderizer, etc. contained in a bag that is colored so the contents cannot be seen. You may also want to bring a change of clothes in a gym bag too. Not saying you will have problems, but I've posted on this before. Some have "po-poohed" my suggestion, and yet others post of having the issues I've mentioned when returning to work. I'd also suggest you stick to foods you've had at home, the foods that have caused zero problems with diarrhea. Eating out at work can lead to issues, where this kit I mentioned will come in handy at times. DAVE
