Given the additional explanation, I would DEFINITELY find another psych to do your evaluation.....we meant no harm or disrespect to your intelligence or maturity....It really sounds like you are well informed and understand the aspects of this!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

In that case, definitely get a second opinion. Since you are a psych major, don't you have the connection to enable you to contact someone who has worked with a lot of WLS patients and can give you a favorable report?
You are also sure to become a wonderful psychologist/therapist for WLS patients and for recovering addicts.
Wishing you the best of this journey, and the best of life.

welcome, sorry to hear what the shrink had to say, it couldnt hurt to have a second opinion..they do their eval and only see what is on paper, i believe u are the only one who truly knows if you are ready...a friend of mine is going thru the process right now and had alot of problems with the shrink part of it and he just finally oked her for surgery, so it will happen, keep ur fingers crossed and good luck!!
