Life, as a skinny person ,
iisn't perfect. Lots of ups and downs. I think this is normal, but I've numbed out for so long.

Once we lose the weight, thedrive, the goal, the real journey starts. It's awesome!

Being THIN is odd at first because we have a hard time seeing our new image. It's very strange when people begin to call you "skinny, thin, tiny, small" etc. I wonder WHEN the oddness leaves us... I'm over 3 years post-op, and it's very odd to me still. The mirror shows a thinner me, but my mind still remembers a different view. I guess my heavier years will always be a part of me somehow.

I don't know if it's even the weight, although that's obviously the most visual aspect. I've had to totally change my eating, stop drinking, redefine my relationships, especially with myself, become a gym person, find my style...

even dyed my hair red a couple of times!

Yes, I think we are constantly going through some type of "re-inventing" of ourselves over and over. Why? Because we CAN. And we live in an age where make-overs are very acceptable and almost expected. It all happens so quickly, and our mind just has to catch up with the new image, new ways of thinking, etc.
