| Newbie | Being THIN is odd at first because we have a hard time seeing our new image. It's very strange when people begin to call you "skinny, thin, tiny, small" etc. I wonder WHEN the oddness leaves us... I'm over 3 years post-op, and it's very odd to me still. The mirror shows a thinner me, but my mind still remembers a different view. I guess my heavier years will always be a part of me somehow.

| Big Loser | I don't know if it's even the weight, although that's obviously the most visual aspect. I've had to totally change my eating, stop drinking, redefine my relationships, especially with myself, become a gym person, find my style... even dyed my hair red a couple of times! Vicki |

| Newbie | Yes, I think we are constantly going through some type of "re-inventing" of ourselves over and over. Why? Because we CAN. And we live in an age where make-overs are very acceptable and almost expected. It all happens so quickly, and our mind just has to catch up with the new image, new ways of thinking, etc.
