Arrow Where do you live?

OK this is a post that I initiate for everybody to talk a little bit about where do they live? I'd love to enrich my information by sharing each others cultures.

This is my coutrys flag

This is a satallite image of Kuwait with a high lighted circle shows where I live roughly. I live in the capital Kuwait
P.S: the big slipper shape area (hehehehehe) is the biggest oil field in Kuwait called Greater Burgan (can't forget my job for a second huh!)

I used to live a bit south before my marriage. As you get closer to Kuwait city life gets more vivid and croudy. Also it is well known that there is a prestigeous factor with the geographical distribution.

High class people usually live in the capital. However there are couple of areas out side the capital that are full with higher educational degree holders like where my old folks used to live.

Also there are areas that are fully occupied with (beduins). Beduins are the original Kuwaiti people who's their parents and grand fathers used to live in the deserts. Kuwait used to be a desert before the exploration of oil industry!

Well this is about the demographical distribtion in Kuwait...

Please feel free to ask me about my country.
I'd love to know more about yours...

To be continued

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hanadi, that is beautiful.
As soon as I have some more time, I will give you a bit of background on me. It could take a little time but I am working on it.

Default The Four Seasons in Japan: Winter and Spring

Japan has four distinct seasons.
These snap shots were taken around where I live in Tokyo.
The river is Kanda River, actually a canal that was dug in the 18th century to provide water for central Edo (Tokyo's name till 1869) from the spring that forms the pond in Inokashira Park, which is a 30 minute walk from where I live.

Winter: Snow along the Kanda river. Taken from the balcony of our apartment.
The black strip down the middle is the river/canal.

Spring: The trees along the river are cherry blossom trees.

Default The Four Seasons in Japan: Summer and Fall

Summer: Time for fire works...taken at the Tokyo Bay Grand Fireworks.
The first two are the same ones in sequence.
Compare the size of the fireworks to the boats and ships in the bay. The fireworks spread over the whole sky.

Summer Bon Dance, a kind of Japanese folk dance. Also taken from our balcony.

Fall: Harvest time and time for festivals.
The local god tours his territory in a festive palanquin. The palanquin at rest at the local shrine.

It , Chuppy, it snows , though it is rare in Tokyo, and usually, we get only enough to just turn the ground white before it melts away in a few hours once it stops snowing, once or twice during one winter. Other parts of Japan get a lot of snow, and is a popular winter pasttime, though the younger people prefer now. There are many many ski resorts and many of them have hot spas as well, which is an added bonus because after a day on the freezing ski slopes, relaxing in the hot spa is just ummmmmmmmm. Last winter, we had record snow, and it snowed a couple of times in Tokyo and on the occasion that I took the snap shot, it snowed about 3-4 inches (10-15cm). In the area most hit with last winter's snow, the total snow was more than 13ft--over 4m!

I live in Lakehurst, NJ. The most note worthy thing that has happened here is the Hindenburg crashed here. I am located about 1 hour south of NYC, and 1 hour east of Philly. I am about 20 minutes from the shore, or I am sorry the beach. So I have a lot to do and you don't have to go far to do it.
