Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I was gonna say try fiber! I eat so many strawberries everyday and I eat a chewable fiber. It's not much, but whatever I'm doing is working very well.

I would look for a softner possibly, I had that problem majorily presurgery and with any other high protein diet I was ever on. Metamucil did the trick for me, I know softeners are recommended, just don't know which ones might be by your Dr. Did they not have that in all your literature? It didn't matter how much fluid I drank either I had to have the metamucil daily.

Has this been long term or is it a new thing? If so are you keeping a food diary to see if you have made any changes to your diet or added new foods? Spike in protein intake, etc?

TMI, well it may not be fun to talk about, but it also ain't fun to deal with either!

I have been constipated since birth (really...mom had to feed me prune juice very early on).

Fiber sups do NOTHING for me. Per my PCP, I take stool softener DSS (ducosate sodium) capsules (cheaper by the big bottle at costco/sams club..says "compare to colace"), one in morning and one at bedtime.

The iron has changed the color and texture of my poo. It is now a light green/grey color. And definately harder passages.

Ouch ~ when things start getting tough, I eat bran flakes to help a bit. Usually eat oatmeal which keeps a problem from starting. Also, watch cheese and other binding foods. Of course, the supplements are frequently a culprit also.

the only thing that has ever worked forme post op was miralax. and i thank msvickie in prayer everytime i use it LOL! it has no taste and works over night so you dont have to worry about running to the bathroom. i mix it in 8 ozs of crystal light and go to bed and by morning i am good. its over the counter and can be found and most any pharmacy or grocery store near the fiber and or laxtives.

ps. eventhough you are getting the recommended fluids, something you are eating might be soaking them up. LOL! try to increase you fluids a few more ounces each day. that may help in the long term.

Thanks everyone. I am definitely going to get some miralax and up the water intake a little. Hopefully it works.
