most ppl do something special for the 4th of july, what are your plans?? i am going to a parade in one town at 11am, my daughter is gonna be in it on the little miss onamia float, then i am going to another town to watch a parade with friends, we have a potluck and swim in a nice in the ground pool (my friend is so spoiled!!) then at dark, we sit on the shore of mille lacs lake and watch the fireworks go over the lake, it is quite the site...simply beautiful!! have a great day everyone, and no matter how you celebrate it, be safe and have fun!!

DH is a real home-body. When we first lived together and in early marriage, I went to gatherings alone. Now we are very seldom invited anywhere and since I left my religious affiliation's, I have NO social life anymore. We were all invited to Beth's friend's house for a party, but DH says he wants to stay at home. I am not a fan of crowds and unless it is at Disneyland or Six Flags (which isn't having fireworks this year because of fire danger in the hills) I don't like fireworks. BUT I will take the family to see them somewhere from a distance. It is Beth's birthday on the 5th...yes, she gets to celebrate her Bday when everyone else is out of town. Tomorrow I will take her to see Wall-E. Sat my dad will come to give her presents. Sunday I will take the family to brunch.

I was invited to my friend's mom's family picnic. I know the people, but only my friend's hubby, kids and her mom well. Whether I go there during the day or not, either way there is a place I can park my car that isn't far from my house where we can watch the fireworks. Luis loved them last year. It's bitter sweet because we should be with my husband.

You all sound like you all are going to have a wonderful time today, Well, my hubby is out busy making hay and that is what we are doing today is making hay all day and this morning I am going out to water my whole garden. My hubby was telling me if everything goes good today, making hay that he was thinking of going to Jamestwon to their 125 celebration, thier is a big parade tomarrow their, and lots of things going on downtown tomarrow. I would sooner just stay at home and rest becasue it is suppose to be in the ninty's tomarrow. I know it is going to be packed in Jamestown tomarrow. They have been having celebrations in Jamestwon for almost a week now. Behind the parade is suppose to be the wagontrain that was out on the prarie for a few days now. The newspaper said over 100 horses with the wagon train. Our 4th of July is going to be a boring one, but that is ok, I just want a day of rest and do nothing and today sounds like a good day for that. You all have a great day today and have lots of fun.

I'm having a pool/BBQ party. My brother is coming in for the weekend (remember, he's at GMU in Virginia), bringing the girlfriend too. And when ever he is in town all his friends that he grew up with here show up - so who ever is having something...me or my Mother...suddenly there are like 10 - 15 teenagers (well, actually they are all about 23 - 24 years old now). My husband has gotten used to this - 'burgers for how many??' They all call my Mother 'Mom' and they call me 'Sister'. A couple neighbors and friends too - I usually have the 4th. here. Every one be safe and have a happy!

Kelly..i hope you enjoy yourself with your friends, try and have a good time, i am praying you will get to spend time with the hubby soon!!
