Default So.. Now I Wait.... tap tap tap

I went in this morning for my final nutrition consult and was given approval for the next step. Meeting the surgeon. Unfortunately, because one of the 3 doctors took a sudden leave of absence for health reasons, the other 2 doctors have taken on, not only their new patients but the existing patients that the other Dr. already had on his schedule. So, just to meet for the surgeons consult is 4-6 weeks out, then another 4-6 weeks or more out for the surgery schedule. YIKES. I'm finished with it all, now I have to wait another 2-3 months. UGH!!!!! I just keep telling myself it's worth the wait!!!! I'm just afraid I'll lose TOO much weight and won't qualify. KWIM?? I know I can lose weight to a certain point, I just haven't ever been able to KEEP it off. That's what i'm hoping this extra tool will help me with.

Waiting in Limbo....

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

With my surgeon once you weigh in overweight no matter how much you lose you still qualify as long as you don't gain weight

Thanks Ladies...I should call and ask them about the weight loss and getting below 40 BMI.

Cheryl.. since we have the same surgeon... you wouldn't want to change places would you?? LOL

I'm going to the support group at the hosp. tomorrow evening. I didn't feel like the one in Geneseo was right for me. Have you gone to it???? If so, did you find it informative??

Martha,
Ahh . . .poopsies!

While you are waiting perhaps you can set some mini goals. For instance, try to build up your leg muscles--a real plus for moving yourself without straining your core muscles. I was thankful for my strong arm muscles from swim class--because I have to push myself up to sit up before edging to the bed and using my leg muscles to stand.
Having a mini-focus might help with the wait!?
Sending prayers your way!
Becky
