Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It's a Family Affair When everybody eats right, everybody feels right. It's almost impossible to sit down to a dinner of fresh red snapper and greens, when your kids and spouse are gobbling down fried chicken and ice cream. So don't make things so difficult on yourself! Involving your family in your new lifestyle will help keep you on track--and start your spouse and kids on the road to health. In fact, setting family eating goals may help all of you stay out of the plus-size department, says an Arizona State University study of 6,400 teens. The teens in families with healthy habits (like eating breakfast every morning) were 33 percent less likely to be overweight. So start your family in the right direction: 1) Have a meeting and discuss how meals could improve for the whole family. 2) Ask any family member who refuses to participate to try the family's diet changes for a few weeks--and then decide whether to continue. 3) Encourage flexibility. If someone refuses to join in, ask him or her to cook something else to eat with the family. 4) Increase cooperation by cutting back rather than eliminating favorite foods. For example, smaller dessert portions can lead to substantial weight loss. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Reference: The Biggest loser maling list |

Weight Loss Method Controlled Eating & Exercise | Those are some great ideas. I have often wondered how I was going to manage eating my little healthy stuff while they were eating good fattening stuff. Hopefully it will help that my son's dr has put him on a lowfat, no sugar diet. Easier for me not to eat that extra fat. All the kids want is junk. So it is up to me to stop buying it.....

Height: | I really lucked out in the fact that for the most part my kids like healthy foods, but my husband has a hard time with it at times. The man could live off of pizza, french fries and burgers with soda, chips and ice cream and candy and never gain any weight. I know he has been blessed with a high metabolism cuz his father is the same way even as he is older. I am lucky to be able to bribe my son with brocoli since he loves it and can't get enough of it. My daughter likes it too. I am hoping that they get their father's metabolism and my lack of a sweet tooth. Janae |
