Default Time for me to beat myself up.

So I had been going so wonderfully with my eating program...keeping it below 1200 calories/day.

Tonight I had to take DD to her basketball game right when I got home from work, and I left in the last period to get a bite because I was STARVING. I was on my way to bariatric support group and I wasn't going home. (DH took the girl home...not to worry. )

I guess I should be proud of myself for ordering the burger without mayo, and for masticating it fully in my hunger, but when I went home and logged in my day's food...my total was over 1500!

It was really tasty, but my pouch did not feel FULL but satisfied (I took about 20 minutes to eat it). I feel good now, but damn! I wish I had known before I bought it.

There. I said it. Now back on course tomorrow.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Judi this is the beauty of learning to eat again - what you did is called moderation. you occasionally will eat a bit more on one day then go back to your usual. The fact that you are paying attention and taking appropriate steps to do today the way you feel you should is a huge accomplishment! I say congrats! (PS - my Normal weight friends eat like this - it's actually a goal of mine to be able to do this)

You will have days like this...and it's OK!!! This journey is about moderation.....I used to eat SEVERAL burgers each week.....now I only do burgers on occasion, with very little bread....I still can only eat about 1/2 a burger....just no room for more than that!

Today is new day....move forward and don't beat yourself up!

Thanks for y'all's support. I weighed myself this morning and was actually down 1/10 of a pound. LOL

You are all correct and you are the voices of reason...Pre op I would have had a SUPER star (double patty) with cheese/mayo, supersized fries. OR one of the six-dollar angus cheeseburgers WITH prime rib slices! GADS!

I reasoned the famous star (single patty) over a plain burger or kid's burger because I wanted the onion and lettuce. Bigger bun, tho. Next time I will choose a kid's burger to tide my hunger over, or maybe a grilled chicken sandy.

Thanks again!

I would not worrry about the calories for that one day, the next day is another day and those calories will not put on weight in one day. You are doing great and keep up the good work.
