So we're adopting another Rottie...  He's pure Rottweiller, show quality, 2 years old and his name is Bubba! We had always said if we got another we would name him "Fat Boy" - don't take offence - it's a motor cycle... Get it...Harlie, Diesel...Fat boy... But Doug thinks "Bubba" is a hoot - so we'll see...  Anyway - he's with the same rescue group that I got Diesel from - so this Friday I am taking the 12 hour drive and heading back down to North Carolina (Hi Shannon, Hi Vicky!) - getting a room - picking Bubba up Saturday morning and then driving back  Poor Bubba, he was dumped in a shelter in PA, these people found out about it, had another rescue group save him (he was set to be euthanized due to little room) and then he was sent down to North Carolina. He's supposed to be a love bug...a 120 pound love bug...and cries when who ever he's with leaves the room - so he'll need a little extra lovin till he's sure he's not going to be dumped again - and I'll take him to school, which I do with all my dogs, makes a big difference in the relationship. Anywho - I just noticed...Kara...you lost a Bubba!

I LOVE puppies! My cousin and his now wife have rottwielers and when I got my 2 pugs (like 10 years ago now) they came over to visit and they couldn't find them because they were so tiny! They were used to their 'puppy'!

I too am a dog lover and if I didn't have my husband to stop me....my house would be taken over by boxers My boxers name was piggy when we got her from the breeder we renamed her Chloe but all the kids call her Big Butt. She is 72lbs and should be about 60lbs.

Oh man, three Rotties!!!! We used to have two dogs, (boxer/lab, chow/retriver/beagle) and took them camping with us all the time. Even though we have a big RV those two beasts could take up the whole place. My beautiful Maggie May had cancer and died three years ago. It is much easier with just Jigsy, but he really did have more fun when Maggie was around. Jigs never really played with dog toys a whole lot, he always had Maggie as a chew toy.

I am actually a big dog person at heart- but the shedding of our lab was enough to cure me for a while. (12 years of beige carpet that had a black "hue"!) I have settled with being a little dog person for a while. (Emmy is 5.9 pounds!) I have been looking at Labs and Goldens lately though and thinking I may have to rescue one since I just love the buggers- maybe when the kids can take care of one a little more! We had a neighbor with a Rottie named Morgan who used to play with our lab Sage. She was the coolest, sweetest dog! Last time at the dog park our little Emmy decided to pal up with a 80 pound "puppy" Bull Mastiff- it was hilarious to watch them chase each other and play....one wrong step and I thought Emmy would be toast! Of course now I have to attach a new pic of my baby- she really is the sweetest dog EVER! She doesn't yap at all, and loves loves loves to sit on your lap and cuddle- you can even hold her like a baby in your arms on her back and she lays there in complete comfort and bliss! Ahhhhhhhhh the life of a dog! She sits on top of the couch like a queen on her throne.  |

I already HAVE 3 dogs - Bubba will make 4! I have Harlie and Diesel (the Rotties ) - but there is also a 12 year old yellow lab/akita mix Samantha. And 2 indoor cats and 1 outdoor cat. Goodnight John-boy!
