Default a simple question

(hope you all don't mind... thought I'd post it here since it looks like this gets more activity)

It's been two days since I've had any food (on clear liquids for pre-op) and I'm hungry, really hungry...

I'm thinking it's because I have this big stomach... after you get the little stomach, are you *hungry*?

Thanks for your kind words on my "scared" post.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Talking Hey Puggy....

I still don't really get hungry....
for me, it's more a "mental hunger"....that is my struggle. Not to mention the "emotional hunger"....wow, have I caught myself a time or two....

keep up with your clear liquid diet though....it reduces the size of your liver and makes it sooo much easier for your surgeon to navigate around with the trocars during your lap surgery. Your surgeon will thank you...and you will have less chance of problems.

You can do it.....the hunger will be gone b/4 you know it!!!
Like Lisa said, it is different with everybody....pray that your hunger will stay away!! LOL.

Good Luck and God Bless....

Am I understanding correctly...PRE OP hunger? What I did was if I felt starved, I did chicken broth. The warmth helped my tummy to feel full. I know it's hard but really you will make it though this difficult time. And if you are just famished and really think you need to eat something, call your surgeon and see if there is ANYTHING you can have in a small portion. I have spoke with several people that said their surgeons gave them clearance to have something small that was solid.

Just stay strong, it will be all over with soon. Then you won't be hungry for a long time.

I have hunger from time to time especially if I have skipped a portion or two throughout the day, but when I am hungry it does not take long to satisfy it. Good luck to you sweetie.
