Height:   |  My trip through Manhattan Okay so I have alluded to this trip I made into manhattan in a couple of other posts, but last Sunday hubby was sweet enough to take me to Chinatown to look at purses on Canal street and if you ever want a cheap thrill...this has to be a fun one to me. I have never seen so many knockoff bags in my life. There was this especially pretty fake pink Prada bag that I almost couldn't leave without...it was sooo amazingly soft. I actually think that my husband wanted it for me as much as I wanted it and that he had as much fun looking. I am blessed with a man that doesn't mind shopping for handbags with me...how lucky am I? There was a certain style that he saw when he went there with a guy friend that we spent the whole time looking for...pink and white checkered leather prada, but only saw the same purse style in light blue and white. Oh well, I am still perfectly content with my current black knockoff for now. The other cool thing that happened is that I think I saw the model Eva Pigford off of America's Next Top Model Season 3 walking past me in Soho district. The main reason I noticed her was that she was wearing an incredibly revealing top and couldn't help but notice like all the adults with me that her um...nipples were very prominently displayed through the fabric. I was kinda disgusted on some level and then when I saw the hair and realized who it probably was I was caught in a delimna...here I didn't want to subject my almost 7 year old son to her display, but at the same time wanted to approach her and ask for a picture...what to do? what to do? Well, I decided to keep on moving and so I guess that I will never know for 100% sure that it was her, but if you ask me I am 98% sure anyways...it isn't as though there are that many women that have her distinct hair combined with that close of a match of body and face, even covered partially with sunglasses. Okay so I will admit that I am wishing I was just with a female friend so I would have been confident in going up to her, but oh well. I am such a dork when it comes to celebrities and will admit that I like to meet them...lol. I met Jon Luvitz in Las Vegas at Ceasar's Palace and will try to post that pic here...keep in mind this is deffinately pre op!!! lol. Janae  |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Wow....I love these kind of stories.... Did I tell you of my adventure in SoHo during my June trip. Russ and I were eating in a little cafe' there...and who is to walk by...but Vera Wang and her assistant Greta. Funny thing....I used to come to NYC fabric shows when I was designing and met Gret at one of the first....and upon my returns...we struck up an aquaintances...and got to chatting while wading thru vendors and a bottle of water. That's how I found out she was Vera Wang's assistant. So....on this particular afternoon....I FIRST saw Greta...and was about to jump up...when I got a little starstruck by the fact she was with her boss - Vera Wang! Little did I know - but found out a bit later...Vera Wang's studio is in SoHo a little down from that cafe...and they were probably coming back from lunch. Needless to say....I didn't call out or make a spectacle of myself...just enjoyed the fact that I had a fun story...and saw one of my favorite designers....and an old business aquaintance/bud... That's my Celeb site!! Did I tell you Russ saw Christina Aguilara last friday....that was his first Celeb site.....

Height: | NO Way....where did he see her? and I am so impressed that you saw Vera Wang. I soooooo love some of her designs over the years. I have to admit that I love seeing the pics of celebs after an awards show in designer clothes. I just found out that one of my friends here once got to meet Julia Roberts in the Beverly Hills Prada store because she was in the dressing room while they closed off the store to the public for the great actress and when she came out...there was Julia with her megamillion watt smile. That would be sooooo cool. I love Julia Roberts and that would just make my day. I would also love to meet Queen Latifah and Debra Messing...just a couple of fabulous ladies I think would be fun. Hopefully I can spot another celeb in NYC when I go next. I love that. Janae |
