| Someone Please Tell Me What I Should Be Eating
Hello Everyone! Hope this finds all of you doing well. I'm having a hard time lately with food choices or lack there of. Somedays I will go hours at a time without thinking about food or feeling hungry. I have become bored with food if that makes any sense. What I would like from all of you is to know what you are eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I need more ideas on what to eat. It seems like I eat the same things everyday....and it's getting OLD. If anyone has any advice or different recipes I could try please help a girl out!

I eat everything I used to eat before surgery but in much smaller portions. Breakfast is usually two eggs and half an english muffin. Lunch is anything from tunafish to cottage cheese to 1/2 a deli sandwich, etc. Dinner is whatever I make for the family such as steak, chicken, fish. Are you bored because your stomach cannot handle certain foods?

I'm not really sure why I'm bored with food. It's almost like it's a chore to eat and maybe that's why I'm so turned off. I haven't ran into any foods that I can't tolerate in smaller portions. That could be the problem.....too many choices!

You are dealing with a new relationship with food. To eat to live, rather than to live to eat. That being said...
Go to the "What are you eating" threads, which folk enter what they are eating all day. That will help some, I am sure.

I'm in the same rut! I think that mentally I think I'm on a diet! I do okay with breakfast, lunch is usually tuna or turkey and cheese, then by dinner I'm out of ideas and usualyy have a protein shake. The what are you eating thread really does help, though.

I started adding a tablespoon of mango salsa to my cottage cheese. Then the green salsa. Today I got salad and put olives, beets, veggies, and shredded carrots. I used the honey mustard dressing. It was not a huge salad. I piad 2 dollars, but yum yum was it ever good!
I'd check to see what it is your missing: Crunch, smooth, sour, salt etc. Then you might know what you want. I wanted crunch so I got saurkraut--bad news it was way tooooooooo salty, and I gained water weight. Needless to say, no saurkraut and weight dropped back to normal.
Smiles,
Becky

Yes, your brain is trying to wrap around itself how to eat the new way.

I like to get ideas from the recipes on here. I have not changed the things I cook or eat, just eat a lot less. I went through this stage too, kinda wish it had lasted, kinda glad it didnt!!???? Some days I get revisited by it, I agree with Doc, we have so much head "stuff" to deal with.

I am in the same rut so I take the lazy, easy way out. I make soup in bulk and freeze it. I have been having soup everyday now for about a month (yikes!). I search online for different types of soup receipes and try and make it my own. I have craving for bean soup for some reason. I also like Italian Wedding Soup. I use ground turkey and ground pork to make my meatballs.
Does anyone know why I am into bean soup? Never liked soup/beans before surgery...
