Default Finally Eating "REAL FOOD"!!!

I had my surgery on June 25th,(down 97 lbs as of today) and I am finally able to eat "normal" food other than yogurt, cottage cheese, all that kind of stuff. On Saturday night my DH and I went out for dinner, and I actually ordered cheese ravioli. I have been so sick of soups, I thought I would finally take a chance and try real food. Man, was it great! I think I embarrassed my husband because I was sitting there going "MMMMMMMMMMM" the whole time I was eating. I only was able to eat about 1/3 cup of the stuff, but it was so worth it! Then Sunday evening we went to a church picnic, and I made meatloaf for it. I ate some of that, and some homemade potato salad (made with yogut supposedly) and some baked beans sweetened with golden raisins (yummy) and I kept it all down. So, I guess I can now try to eat more real food. Tonight I tried a salmon cake (homemade), and my pouch just didn't like it very much. Didn't get sick, but I guess I can't get too confident yet. I know that many of you have been eating regular food way before I was, but I did have a stricture, and I have had two stretches to my stomach and that is why I guess I can eat now. But I realize that I need to keep making the smart choices. But boy, it sure is awesome eating different things after 3 months!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Was the salmon cake fried? I don't do well with fried or fatty foods...you could be having the same issues. "REGULAR" foods are great in moderation, keep your rules in tact and you will be fine....protein first...ALWAYS!!!

I am with the other girls if your salmon cake was fried that will do it almost every time. Broiled is better, and if it was broiled well maybe it was just the salmon perhaps it was to rich yet for you. Its a process a very long one..lol

yes, they were sauted in about a tablespoon of olive oil. And I figured I was getting lots of protein from the salmon and egg in the mix. But I guess I gotta watch frying stuff.
