I'm 26 days post op.....I've lost 30 lbs so far but for some reason I've stopped losing weight. I eat low fat and sugar free meals and can barely get down of few spoonfuls of soup....but for some reason My weight has been holding for the last week and a half is this normal or do I need to get more active?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

First of all, welcome to RenewedReflection.

Relax and don't sweat the small plateaus as your body's thermostat continues to re-adjusts.

The most important thing is to continue to do the right things for yourself no matter what the scale says minute by minute.

You are going to do just fine. Again welcome aboard. How are managing the emotional roller coaster so far?

Thanks Craig

Its hard, but I'm gaining a lot of insight on how I handled stress in the past ( by eating) and now I'm focusing on new ways to handle stress but mostly I just yell and curse. :P

I can't believe how much of a crutch food was and is still is for me. I live in Germany and eating out is not as fun as it used to be.

We don't have as many options for eating healthy as you in the states and that can be frustrating for me If I let it. I have very supportive family and friends so that helps.

Being a mililtary wife is an emotional roller coaster all on its own and it's been really intense since the surgery now I have to face my problems head on I no longer have the option of eating them away but I think that's a good thing

later for now

Hey kunupio, are you at Ramstein by chance? I am an Air Force Spouse stationed at McGuire, and I want to tell you first and foremost, thanks for being a military spouse and helping to support our country. I am just learning what it means to sacrifice, and I want you to know you are appreciated. Second of all, hang in there. If ya ever want to write to me and vent about the military thing, feel free to. I know someone here at McGuire that had the WLS done in Germany through the military. Unfortunately she is really closed mouthed for the most part and doesn't want anybody here to know about it including my husband. She only told me because she overheard me saying that I was going to try for it. I hope that eventually she will let me tell my husband so that he can get support from her husband with issues that he will have to deal with since they both get along, but if that never happens, I will just have to accept her friendship on her terms and respect her decision. Good luck, and congratulations on your 30 lbs. I hope that the plateau is a short one for you and that you feel comfortable enough to lean on those that have been there before. I haven't had surgery yet, but admire you for your progress thus far. Keep it up.
Janae
