| Help...I feel like I can't eat!!!
Every since my gall bladder surgery I feel like I have no appetite. I feel like I am starving and then looking at the food and eating the food makes me feel sick. I have been forcing some stuff down and I get the "time to stop" feeling VERY fast....like after 4 bites. I had my surgery Monday so it has been almost 1 week. I did not even attempt to eat much food for the first 2-3 days because I was sleeping non-stop. Help...whats going on with me?? Today I ate 3 bites of tuna salad and 4 bites of grilled chicken. That is about the extent of my daily food consumtion for the past 6-7 days. It can't go on like this forever!!! Did I shrink my pouch from not eating for a few days? Or is this nausea and loss of appetite from my gall bladder being gone?

Have you talked to your surgeon about the loss of appetite? I think you should it doesn't sound normal to me. What about liquids if you can tolerate them use protein drinks so you can keep your strength.

I hope that you are able to keep liquids down. That is so important now. I agree you should call your DR. office and check with them. It could be just from the surgery but I am sure they can tell you what you need to do. I hope that you get to feeling better soon. Its not fun feeling like that. Let us hear from you. I will say a pray for you. hugs, dixie

I would guess your still recovering from your gallblader surgery. Maybe try to get some protein drinks in to get on the mend. Just a suggestion.

I had my gallbladder removed and couldn't eat after surgery. Of course I didn't have WLS at the time I had my gallbladder removed. I couldn't eat because I still had gallstones left in my liver. You should definately consult your physician ((HUGS)) I hope things get better.

Most likely that it will starte getting better in a few days, but, do let your surgeon know how you are feeling.
How are you doing with your water intake? If you're dehydrated, that may be the cause, too.
((((((HUGS)))))) Hang in there, hope you feel better soon.

It took me about a week to get back into eating again. I think it has to do with your body recovering from surgery. Make sure you drink plenty of water. You should be back to normal in a few days. If not, be sure to call your nurse for a follow up!

I have been able to keep plenty of fluids down. I will up fluids a little today to see if that helps and I have a follow up on Wednesday. Hopefully this is just part of recovery.
