Red face Pretty in Pink.

Okay so Sunday I was granted the great opportunity last minute to go to NYC with three of my friends here and go handbag shopping. We had a great time there. I did end up buying a new Pink Prada bag. I had been looking for this particular one the last time I was in the city with my hubby, and just when I had given up hope, my friend spotted it in a store. I went up to it and was dissapointed that the tag said NYC instead of Prada in that little triangle. That was when my friend asked the man if they had the same design in Prada label, and he said that he would change out the label for me for free. I asked him how much and he said $25. I counteroffered with $15 and he said no...$18. That was when I started to walk away from the store. Then I heard behind me the woman say lady...stop...I will give it to you for $15. Long story short it came home with me...lol. I love this pink bag and had to buy some cute bling to match it. I found a watch paired with a matching bracelet and necklace in another store. They wanted $20 for the set, but at closer inspection one of the links on the bracelet was broken, so I negotiated the price down to $10. When I got home hubby fixed the bracelet after I found the pin that had been missing. This is not all....oh no... I was walking back towards Penn Station on Broadway when we came across a street vendor fair and I saw a really adorable pink shirt. I asked the guy how much he wanted for it, and he said $15. I knew that I still needed to get home and that even though it was cute...I could do without it, and then was getting ready to leave his booth, when he said that he was packing up his stuff and if I really wanted it I could have it for $5. So all in all I got a shirt, necklace, watch, bracelet, and handbag all matching in one trip to the city and it only cost $30. I don't think that was too bad for one day. Now I feel truly Pretty in Pink....lol. I have never enjoyed wearing pink before like this and have always thought it was a skinny girl color. But man do I enjoy being girly now. I will post the pics in this thread, but with new posts since this is getting long winded. I just had so much fun without any kids or hubby in tow. It was great to walk along the street and go into cute little stores and be able to find things that fit or were possible. This was the greatest gift ever for me to celebrate my halfway mark. I am so grateful to my hubby for letting me go and taking care of the kids for me while I did it. He earned major brownie points for this occasion. I am sure he will exploit them later...lol.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Oh yeah, we ate at a restaraunt named the Silver Spur. The food was pretty decent, but I was dissapointed when I read that there was a $3 charge for sharing since one of my friends is post op too and we were just going to share something. Heaven's knows that the portions were big enough to share and then some. I ended up ordering their quesidilla, Cindy had the BLT, Jennyl had the chili cheese fries, and Sam had the mini greek salad and a side of fries. I sampled a tiny bit of the greek salad and have to admit I was very impressed by it. I have never had greek salad before. Maybe I will have to try to open more horizons. I liked the feta cheese that was in it. I have never tried feta either. Their fries were yummy too, and overall I would recommend the place for an outing, but the waitress could have deffinately been better. I was not impressed by the service. I wonder if you explained about the surgery if they would waive the $3 sharing fee? Hmmmmm.

They are too good to be true....that is why they are fake...lol. I think having the real stuff would just make me paranoid anyways. Thanks for the compliment on the great buys. I am lucky to come across some here and there.

Awww thanks... we didn't get hit up for the $3 since we both decided to order after all, but I still think that is kinda lame...lol. I guess that they have to do what they can to help from being exploited. I just hate paying full price for food I won't/can't eat. Thanks about the tummy compliment...this time I was sucking in a bit...lol. but I assure you that you would have seen my tummy if the picture was lower...it just headed south is all....lol. You Jolie are looking hot yourself. I can't wait to go and hang with ya. I hope hubby has to work this Saturday and that it is gorgeous for the market.
